WePledge 1% is Twilio’s employee impact movement to drive lasting social change on a global scale.
WePledge 1% is powered by Twilio, in partnership with Pledge 1%. The WePledge 1% movement empowers employees to be changemakers in their communities by pledging 1% of their time, money, or equity to causes they care about.
Twilio supports and empowers its employees, called Twilions, to “live their pledge” with year-round virtual and in-person opportunities to give and volunteer, 20 hours of paid volunteer time off each year, and the option to donate equity. WePledge 1% allows employees to set intentions for how they want to align their values with their actions.
Twilio.org offers an accelerator program to help leaders launch the program at their companies. Over the course of five months, participants receive a turnkey toolkit and access to a practitioner network that makes it easier to initiate or improve employee impact at no cost.
Tanya, a Twilion based in Portland, is actively engaged with Move for Hunger, an organization whose mission is to reduce food insecurity and food waste.
